GruvenParts.com has heard your requests to build another LIFETIME WARRANTIED billet part for your GM heavy duty truck !
We are proud to release our billet accessory tensioner pulley to replace the OEM plastic/made in China tensioner pulley. This pulley bolts right on in place of the old plastic tensioner pulley on GM P/N 12673657 (12-67-36-57) on all 2017-present Duramax 6.6 V8 L5P motors.
We have been building billet tensioner pulleys for more than 20 years and this one gets all the benefits of that experience. These are crafted from solid 6061-T651 aircraft grade aluminum billet and contain a special SKF Explorer sealed bearing for the absolute highest possible load and RPM rating. This bearing is also fully replaceable (but likely will never need to be).
Ditch the Chinese junk plastic tensioner pulley and mystery bearing on your hard working L5P 6.6 heavy duty motor in favor of this CNC machined pulley designed, CNC'd, and assembled right here in our Atlanta, Georgia aerospace machining center.
These pulleys carry a LIFETIME WARRANTY so this will be the last tensioner you buy for this truck !

Installation :
-Release tension from the accessory drive belt and remove belt from the tensioner assembly only.
-Using a 13mm socket, remove the single bolt holding the OEM junk plastic tensioner and the dished retainer washer from the assembly (RH bolt thread).
-Install the GruvenParts billet L5P tensioner pulley with the snap ring facing the bolt head and install bolt.
-The dished retaining washer is not needed and can be discarded. Please note the dished retaining washer is meant to retain the plastic pulley when it flies apart. Since you are replacing with our billet aluminum version, the dished retaining washer is not needed.
-Reroute accessory drive belt over the pulleys and retension belt.
