GruvenParts.com is proud to release these redesigned SOLID BRASS gears for the gas and brake pedal adjustment mechanisms found in many GM trucks from 1999-20214 (and possibly many more).
The OEM gas and brake pedal adjuster units in these vehicles use small, brittle plastic spur gears which serve to control the gas and brake pedal positions. Unfortunately, the OEM gears are made from brittle plastic and typically crack apart rendering the gas and brake pedal adjuster mechanisms useless. Until now, the only solution was to source new gas and brake pedal adjuster units from GM for big bucks, then go thru the painstaking process of removing the entire dash to install new OEM gas and brake pedal adjuster units - all this time and expense to get more plastic, brittle gears. You already know how that story ends !
DONT WASTE TIME AND MONEY BUYING ENTIRE NEW GAS and BRAKE PEDAL ADJUSTER UNITS.
GruvenParts.com has solved the main issue by designing and building replacement gas and brake pedal adjuster gears made from SOLID BRASS WHICH CARRY A LIFETIME WARRANTY. The installation of our replacement solid brass gears is very easy and does not require dash removal.
Replace weak, problematic OEM plastic gears with bulletproof lifetime warrantied solid brass gears. Save time, save money, upgrade the longevity of the unit. Win/Win/Win !!
Installation of these gears is very straight forward - remove the 3 torx screws holding the case halves together. The old plastic gears can be unthreaded from the screw shaft and the new brass gears can easily be threaded on.
The brass gears replace the gas and brake pedal adjuster gears found in most 2003-2014 GM trucks including Escalade, Suburban, Silverado, Tahoe, Yukon, Sierra, Avalanche, and many others using the following part numbers (note this list of Part Numbers is not complete!).
15-12-36-10 (15123610)
15-12-36-11 (15123611)
25-96-86-88 (25968688)
25-96-86-89 (25968689)
15-18-87-72 (15188772)
22-84-73-41 (22847341)
25-83-28-64 (25832864)
15-84-73-49 (15847349)
...and many others. This list will continually build as we find more compatible part numbers for the GMT800 and GMT900 vehicles. If you have a specific part number you want to check compatibility to, please hit Contact Us and send email with the unit part number.
Please chose your gear from the drop down menu !
** Please note for GMT 800 customers needing the brake pedal adjuster gear, please email us. We also have those gears but need to know some dimensions as there were multiple variations of that particular gear.

My 12 year old Cadillac Escalade keeps having the same issue. All of the small plastic gears is various components keep splitting from age, heat, and wear / tear. Gruven parts is filling the gap to keep these vehicles on the road and working as intended. Super high quality and exact fit. Not the cheapest but compared to an entire used unit with 12-15 year old parts. It is not a bad decision.

Fit perfectly. A little challenging to remove the motor housing to get at the gear.

The brass gear for the silverado brake pedal is excellent. It is a little pricey, not to mention $18 for shipping on such a small part. I wish it came with the c-clip that holds it from screwing off. Still easier and cheaper than replacing the whole brake pedal though.

I purchased this part after seeing a forum on the Adjustable Pedal Assembly not working. I purchased the gear and it arrived in a few days. It fit perfectly! The one thing I wish is it came with a new E clip but that was no big deal. I'm so glad they make this part instead of having to replace the whole pedal assembly.

Part is machined beautifully and works great, just waiting for the accelerator pedal version then I’ll be set.

I thought I was out of luck fixing my adjustable pedals on my 2007.5 duramax, but, I saw a thread online that had the link to Gruvenparts and figured I’d check it out . It was easy to replace and fixed my issue! And I don’t think it’ll ever break again.
