GruvenParts.com Billet MKIV Upper Radiator Hose 4Y and Billet Auxiliary Radiator Delete Kit
GruvenParts.com is proud to release the BILLET MKIV VR6 12V and 24V Upper Radiator Hose 4Y Pipe to replace the junk plastic 4Y pipe found in OEM upper radiator hose P/N 1J0-122-101AP (1J0122101AP), 1J0-122-101CG (1J0122101CG) and 1J0-121-087J (1J0121087J).
This part can also be spec'd without the lower auxiliary radiator feed nipple for those wanting to delete the often problematic auxiliary radiator and all of its associated plumbing! The aux rad delete option includes a straight billet aluminum auxiliary radiator return hose delete pipe which replaces the plastic tee in lower radiator hose P/N 1J0-122-051R(1J0122051R). This option also deletes the short adapter hose located under the 4Y which connects to the aux radiator return, P/N 1J0-122-101AR (1J0122101AR). Please note the auxiliary radiator delete option is intended for manual transmission vehicles only.
The flimsy plastic OEM upper radiator hose 4Y junction located in the upper radiator hose quickly dries out and becomes super brittle. If you look at it wrong, it will snap and leave you stranded. Or worse, turn your high dollar VR6 motor into an overheated paperweight. Likewise, the auxiliary radiator and its associated hoses and fittings clutter up the engine bay and are also prone to leaks which can cause catastrophic failure to the engine due to overheating.
Our billet upper radiator hose 4Y and the auxiliary radiator delete pipes are made on one of our state of the art CNC machining centers from aircraft grade 6061-T651 aluminum. The 4Y is professionally TIG welded and both parts are leak tested. You could drive your car over these, but we'd recommend doing that to the OEM plastic versions and installing ours instead !
The GruvenParts billet upper radiator hose 4Y also uses a 1/8 NPT fitting for the radiator reservoir return line, so if you ever wanted to delete your main coolant reservoir , you could simply install a threaded 1/8 NPT plug in its place. You could also install a coolant temp sender in that position for those stand alone applications.

Could not find this oem product anywhere else without waiting long. Also didn't want to trust plastic anymore. This Gruvenparts billet option is very much an upgrade and will NEVER have to be replaced again once installed. No more coolant leak for me!

High quality part to replace the old leaking oem plastic connector. I’d recommend this to every vr6 owner. Fits perfectly in my Mk4 r32.

Just installed this on my mkiv .:R32! Perfect fit and awesome quality, worth every penny. I need the aux radiator gone for a supercharger install and this is just what I needed!

Purchase the outlet due to mine being cracked from old age. Mk4 R32 by the way. Works perfectly. Paul was able to lmk when it was available to ship, slight misunderstanding on my part but everything turned out great without a hitch. I purchased parts before so i knew quality was never a concern. Will be purchasing more products soon!

After the Aux water pump bracket purchase, this was the next buy. This is an excellent replacement for the tired plastic coolant joint parts that VW has used. GruvenParts craftsmanship is second to none and I'm hoping that more of these items are manufactured

Worked perfect on my 04 R32. I also chose not to use the upper brass nipple on my setup since that particular hose i deleted on my turbo setup
