MKIV R32, EOS, Touareg, A3, and Audi TT Bushings Now Available!
Finally - Replacements for the problematic OEM VW intake manifold shift rod bushings – in most cases theres no need to buy a replacement shift rod!
These bushings are sold in sets of 2 to replace the 2 bushing rods - if you have the very early 99.5 model year with the even more pathetic 5 bushing rod, you need to buy a 2 bushing rod to use these.
The OEM bushings wear quickly and become the source of loud rattles you hear during acceleration and deceleration. The worn OEM bushings will quickly eat your plastic intake manifold, and cause expensive repairs.
gruvenparts.com Intake Manifold Bushings are thicker, made from more durable material, and most importantly, geometrically designed to maximize surface area contacting the intake manifold. Our bushings are made using CNC equipment with very tight tolerances as a matched set. The set up and programming times are extensive.
Please note, if your VR6 has been rattling excessively, you may need to replace the plastic intake manifold. The GruvenParts.com bushings should still be used in the new manifold to prevent this problem from occurring again.

I knew my factory bushings where shot but had no idea how much quieter the car would be after these. Literally took me 15 minutes and the result beyond impressed me.

Product did its job now I have a wrapping noise when I turn the car on . I'm not sure if it's the timing guides or the valves but it coming from the drivers side of the engine the car sounds boggy

I had a long suspicion as to what the noise was. so after some research and actually seeing my worn bushing i bought theses replacements. Like another reviewer said best $50 buck spent. The install was a lil worrisome because they make it snug to go in and even got held up at one point i got nervous. Once installed to took about 20 mins to complete. Engine feel and response was quite notable. 2002 vr6 12v

In about 25 minutes the old ones were out and the new ones were in. Didn't realize how loud the old ones were until I started it back up after the swap.
Yet again, thanks Paul for another great part.

Restore your VR6 manifold in a short amount of time. So spend the $50 before you need to replace you manifold. I suggest thoroughly reading the supplied instruction from the Gruven Parts web site as they are me than helpful and cover multiple applications. I have a MKIV 24V VR6 and the installation went quick and smooth as documented. Great Product!

First off it took quite a while to get this part shipped out to the uk. Fair enough there was a delay in production, but communication via email was a little slow.. I was advised it's quicker via phone, but that costs!
This was my 1st purchase from Gruvenparts, so not the best 1st impression! However all is forgiven, as the product is perfect.. So on the basis of quality parts, I shall shop again.

Thanks for this honest review and Im sorry for the ship time. The parcel seems to have spent most of the time in UK customs. I dont know why they do that, it may have been due to the "gift" status or something as they like to charge hefty duties but they cant when its marked as a "gift". Other times UK customs processes very quickly. We could use UPS or Fed Ex but they have much higher shipping rates, tend to loose packages, and then charge our customers "courier" fees on top of it all, so we stick with USPS. You can always call or email for faster response, and we appreciate your review. Please post up some pictures on the forums !
Take care,
Paul

Excellent parts. When I first received them I was a little upset paying 50 bucks for how small they were. But installed them in 12 mins!!! And my engine noise is completely gone. I wasn't sure if the bushings were my problem because it was making noise from 1200-4000rpm could of been higher rpm but never reved it that high. Everyone told me I needed to rebuild the head. My cheapest quote to rebuild the head was a grand. So I took a chance on the bushings. Finally after I installed the bushings I have no engine noise and noticed that my bottom end torque increased sufficiently!!!! Best 50 bucks spent thanks again!!!!!
