Billet Aluminum Dipstick Funnels – UNBREAKABLE !!
Finally, a replacement for the orange plastic dipstick funnel !
Our funnel is made from 6061-T6 billet aluminum and neatly replaces the cheap brittle orange dipstick funnel we have all come to hate.
This part replaces OEM part number 053-103-663 (053103663) orange plastic mid funnel on the following vehicles:
Audi - 80, B5 A4 1.8T – all 4 cylinder
VW – All MK2 Golf, Jetta, Scirocco, Corrado, MK3 ABA’s and AAA, Eurovan T4, B3, B4, B5 Passat 1.8T and 2.0
Please verify your car uses the plastic mid funnel P/N 053-106-663.
Installation Notes :
Its easiest to remove the metal dipstick funnel from the engine block and perform the work on a workbench. Remove the plastic funnel and install our billet funnel with the slotted end onto the metal dipstick tube. Using a rubber mallet, tap billet funnel onto metal OEM dipstick tube until securely seated. It may be necessary to freeze the metal tube extending from oil pan overnight and heat this billet mid funnel in oven at 500F for 10 minutes for easier installation. |
