GruvenParts.com is proud to release this solid stainless fwd/aft cable shift repair block for cable shift VW vehicles. This part will quickly replace the weak forward end of the factory fwd/aft shift cable
where it connects to the transmission linkage. It is also commonly used for "side of the road" repairs when the fwd/aft shift cable breaks. Simply tighten down the 4 stainless
internal hex bolts to grab the fwd/aft cable and use the existing hardware to re-attach the fwd/aft cable end to the transmission linkage. The factory shift weight is retained,
and this part adds even additional weight for smoother shifting. If your cable is not yet broken, throw 1 of these in the glove box and be prepared for the inevitable!
There is no need to source an entire shift cable mechanism (which is very hard to find, and also quite pricey) in the event of a broken fwd/aft shift cable. Simply install this part and you are back
on the road and ready for action!
