GruvenParts.com is happy to release these long awaited billet intake linkage arms for the Audi A4 and A6 with 3.0L V6 engines!
These billet aluminum linkage arms come two to a set – enough for 1 vehicle and will replace the plastic ones on the 2002-2006 A4 and 1999-2004 A6 with the 3.0L 30V V6 engine with rotary drive unit part number 06C-133-611 (06C133611) installed onto intake manifold part number 06C-133-201J (06C133201J).
Just like our popular Audi/VW 4.2L V8 linkage arms, these billet aluminum 3.0L V6 intake arms are Guaranteed for Life !
The OEM plastic linkage arms on these engines quickly fail due to heat and contaminants leaving your intake manifold stuck. This causes poor idle, poor drivability, loss of power, check engine lights, and poor fuel mileage. It’s a very common problem on the Audi 3.0L 30V V6 engine, an otherwise great engine. The dealer will only sell you a new actuator assembly for nearly $500 - A hefty price to pay for more weak plastic that will again break in short order.
Our Billet intake manifold arms are made from Aerospace grade 6061-T651 Aluminum with specially machined Dupont Delrin inserts to provide a perfect fit to the actuator balls.
Go with the billet GruvenParts.com linkages with the Lifetime Guarantee, save $400 over the inferior dealer plastic versions, and NEVER WORRY ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AGAIN.
This product fits the following vehicles:
2002-2006 Audi A4 including Quattro w/3.0L 30V V6 Engine
1999-2004 Audi A6 including Quattro w/3.0L 30V V6 Engine
Replaces plastic links on found OEM P/N 06C-133-611 (06C133611) drive unit w/rotary valve, which is installed onto 06C-133-201J (06C133201J) intake manifold.

The aluminum intake link arms are such an incomparable upgrade to the stock plastic ones. With the help of the simple and precise instructions, this was an easy install. After completion, I felt confident that these would not break again like the OEM plastic ones had. I highly recommend.

These will repair the common problem of the arms breaking on the intake manifold actuator of an Audi A6 3.0. They are pricey at over $100 but seeing how used actuators sell on line for 4-5 hundred dollars this is the better option. One MUST be careful when opening the vacuum chamber because the spring inside is quite strong. I worried on disassembly and reassembly that the force needed would break the plastic pieces but that did not happen.

Thanks for the honest review. I wish we could run more of these and get the price lower but nobody seems to know about them, or wants to upgrade to the billet version. So we machined them in very small batches, its expensive to do that, we really dont even make any $$ on them. But as you said, its a great fix, and will outlast the vehicle.

Order placed Friday, shipped Saturday, received the following the Wednesday.
Right away, you can tell build quality is excellent. Definitely can't see them ever failing.
Install took about an hour. Hardest part was being careful enough not to break the center domes prying them apart. Springs are compressed pretty heavily inside, take care not to have it shoot into your eyes after separating. Reassembly was tricky because your fighting to compress the spring again, and seal the dome pieces back up. I used a rubber mallet to seal the housing back together once I held the compressed spring in place. I placed a little cloth in between the mallet and the assembly to prevent damage.
Overall, I think most people can do this at home, as its only mildly difficult. If you've never revised your vacuum/PCV system with new silicone hosing, this is a good upgrade to do at the same time, because when removing the vacuum actuator, its easy to break the original air lines, and the T-fittings connecting the vacuum lines together.

I am extremely impressed with these linkage arms! They are exactly what I needed and if Audi had manufactured something this good I wouldn't need to replace them. Very well made , perfect application, problem solved!!!!

Speaking with Paul at gruvenparts made me not have any reservations as to the installation of these arms. I left the actuator in place on the car. The tools I used was a flat tip screwdriver, a large pair of pliers, and that was it. The instructions sent along with the arms are very descriptive and easy to decipher. Although, I'm sure the installation is much easier by removing the actuator from the vehicle, I had very little resistance installing the arms with the actuator still installed on the vehicle. I will emphasize to use caution when removing the OEM plastic arms from the center piece, if they are still intact. Most of the pieces are plastic and try to keep the pressure you apply to center piece equalized as you reattach the new linkage arms. I was not able to press them on by hand. So, I placed the flat tip screwdriver at the base of where the arms reattach to the balls of the center piece. I then tapped on the screwdriver with my pliers and they snapped right into place. As far as the caps go, I simply eased on one portion of the caps when reattaching, and pressed the remaining portions back into place with my pliers. I'm in no way indicating that leaving the part attached to the engine while installing the arms is recommended. PLEASE follow instructions that are provided by Paul on the website. However, the installation only took me 15 minutes even with the actuator unit still on the vehicle. PLEASE use caution easing the OEM arms out of the soft rubber located inside the end caps. Use the same caution reinserting the new steel arms. Now for the results! These arms are WELL worth the cost and COMPLETELY healed my Audi. You will literally save HUNDREDS of dollars and will be VERY pleased working with the folks at gruvenparts. I was literally stunned at the performance my Audi regained once these arms were installed. Inspect your vehicle and if the plastic OEM arms on your Audi are broken, order these steel arms from gruvenparts and get your vehicle back to its top performance condition. Thanks Paul for taking the time to speak with me and thanks to gruvenparts.com for saving us customers hundreds of dollars. You have gained a customer for life!!!!
Best Regards,

I'm a technician and found there needed to be a fix for these arms rather than purchase of an intake plastic always breaks over time and temperature gruvenparts has done an exceptional job of taking care of this issue I'm impressed and revert customers to also purchase these!
